Griep, Gottlieb (Frederick)

F. G. Griep of Parkplace passed away at his home on Monday afternoon after a brief illness. Funeral services were conducted from the Griep home on Wednesday and interment was in Mountain View cemetery. Mr. Gripe as a native of Prussia and had lived in Oregon City and Parkplace since 1865. Formerly he conducted a hotel in this city. In addition to Mrs. Gripe, deceased is survived by two sons.

PIONEER HOTEL MAN DIES AT PARKPLACE
F. G. Griep, of Parkplace, died at the family home Monday morning. The body was brought to the Holman undertaking parlors, Where it was prepared for burial, and later removed to the family residence, where the funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clcok with interment in the Mountain View cemetery.
Mr. Griep is an old-time resident of Oregon City, having arrived here in 1865. He conducted a hotel for many years, where now stands the Electric hotel annex on Sixth and Main streets, and was also an exempt fireman. He was born in Prussia. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
