HENRY JAMES HARDING

Henry James HARDING, early resident of Oregon City, died yesterday at the family home here. He was born in Sydney, Australia, August 9, 1846, and came to Oregon in 1857. For many years he engaged in business in Oregon City, later taking a position with the Crown-Willamette paper Company, retiring about two years ago. He was a member of the G.A.R.
He married Belle P. Fields in 1871, in Clackamas County.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Belle (Fields) HARDING of this city, one brother, George A. Harding, also of this place, and three grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Rev. J.A. Cleland, rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal church, will officiate. Interment will be in Mountain View cemetery.
